Now

  • Reading a lot. Making up for my busy time at my last role at ThinkLink.
  • Writing about my insights from what I’ve learned in the last 3 years working at an enterprise cybersecurity Saas startup.

Past

ThinkLink Inc | 2020-23

Founding Engineer. Helped build and manage a product & engineering team of 22 from scratch.

  • Handled product strategy, customer discovery & experimentation from conception to launch for the following products.
    • Horizon is a continuous external exposure intelligence tool for mid-to-large enterprises helping them collect threat intel about their attack surface and digital footprint on both surface & dark web.
    • Cyber Hygiene is a self-assessment tool for SMEs to evaluate their cyber security posture in alignment with the popular CIS v8 Framework.
    • CorkOwl is an e-commerce platform for wine collectors enabling them to quickly inventory & host their own wine e-commerce store online within minutes.
  • In its early days, I was also responsible for designing and building key engineering systems — APIs, Infrastructure and client-side modules in Golang, AWS & Vue.

Speckbit | 2016-20

I first started working on Speckbit in 2015. Speckbit is a collaborative personal learning management tool for self-learners & educators. The goal was to build transformative tools for learning.

  • Founded while still in college - bootstrapping the entire operations using revenue from workshops & training.
  • Built the product from scratch using VueJS & Django Rest Framework and scaled it to over 15K users with 2000+ Monthly Active Users (MAUs).
  • Trained over 5,000 students how to code, build web applications & experiment with machine learning through my workshops and boot camps.
  • Invented a new technique of Instruction Design inspired by a blended learning model that led to an increase in student's rate of learning by a factor of 3.

Science Panorama | 2012-14

Started out as a blog, eventually turning into a startup. We started Science Panorama when we realized that there are lots of things that are broken in the current system. Science is alienating for a few and intimidating to a lot more. Maybe your teacher sucks. Or if you’re lucky enough, you know how wonderful it is. Science Panorama was a community on the internet for everyone to be a part of and enjoy the joy of learning science.

  • Built a community of over 60 thousand subscribers with a small team of 3 members, overseeing content strategy, community engagement, and business development.
  • Published a free online science magazine with a team of independent writers. Contributors to the magazine included renowned physicists and scientists.
